For a girl from the Caribbean Fall and Winter seasons in the USA has not been very easy to deal with. The struggle starts when the temperature quickly drops and you realize it is not summer anymore.
For some, it means time to pack your summer wardrobe, follow the new trends and start layering up. I prefer to wear my summer clothes as long as I can before it is too cold to wear. It makes me feel Summer is not gone yet. My transition plan is based on layering my cotton blouses, my tank tops, and sundresses. It is part of my survival guide.
While strolling the streets of New York on a strange warm Autumn afternoon that felt like a cool Summer, I was wearing sunglasses by Pierre Cardin, flare jeans (similar), a floral blouse (similar) open wedges (similar) with a pop of color, and my yellow bag (similar). Floral fabrics have been trending since Spring ’15 and the latest runway shows and designer presentations made it relevant as well. Pair a similar outfit with a duster coat (here) and Chelsea boots (here) to keep you warm.
