Yesterday was a great day. I had the pleasure to work on a pilot with 2 amazing seasoned actors. I was portraying a newbie Stewardess in a private jet. The set had a vintage feeling, the old coming together with the new, very elegant and classic. My costume also was very elegant, I was wearing a current gray skirt suit, a simple white shirt and a very colorful silk scarf, everything looked pristine.
Nowadays we tend to replace the old things with new things, past experiences with new experiences, old memories with new memories but what about to merge both instead, the outcome would be interesting. When we learn from past experiences, we become better in everything we do. Keeping our old memories alive gives us the chance to go back to the past while enjoying the present.
Also in fashion, the combination of old and new is intriguing and fascinating, just like the vintage dress I am wearing from 1970 with a geometric pattern and the high boots from 2014, with more than 50 years in between both pieces, the combination of both is lovely.
