Dare to wear green

When you find yourself in doubt about wearing green, think about its association with nature and its ability to create a relaxed or refreshed mood.
There are several different shades to pick from, such as a bright lawn green to a darker teal. My choice, emerald green, the 2013 Pantone color of the year, is such an appealing hue. I was a bit skeptical about wearing green without looking “too green” until I found this gorgeous backless dress with a straight line and a chevron kind of print. It was love at first sight. You can create a similar look with a solid green plunge top or a halter dress.

The V-neck makes your neck look gloriously long, while the tiny straps provide a delicate touch to embellish your back. I styled it with cropped black pants (similar) to add more dimension to the ensemble and high heels (here), but you can also wear flats for a more casual look. I decided to keep it simple with accessories, only wearing earrings and a cocktail ring, letting the print of the dress be the focus of attention. You can also add some bangles for some flair. I styled my hair in a low ponytail to keep the effect of a longer silhouette, and I found that simple makeup completes the whole look. I dare you to wear green.
