How to coordinate neutral tones
Blending in? Sometimes you have to! It is fun to coordinate your look with the places you visit.
On a Saturday afternoon, I was walking around Newark, NJ and I found a majestic place. The architecture, the palette… was fuel for the imagination. The next day I came back dressed with the same color palette as the location. You just have to look around to find inspiration. To me, it was the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart, one of the largest Gothic-style churches in the country, it invites the eye to just stand and contemplate the facade. Brown, beige, gray and some metallic to spice it up are the colors of the edification surrounded by plants and trees blending harmoniously. All neutral colors not competing but complementing each other.
It was a cold Fall day which made me decide to wear layers: a cozy vest, boots by Crown Vintage, Beige pants (similar), and long cardigan by Style&Co. All in the same shade of beige makes you feel part of the structure. Layering neutrals are not only appropriate for Fall but for all year round. Neutrals are also the favorite colors to style work outfits.
